Tennis Nets & Posts
American Tennis Net Posts
The ATA Post Durable, Stylish and Made in America
Replace your old, worn, rusted external crank posts with new ATA internal winder posts. Dress up the “old” look, upgrade your court or club while improving the attractiveness of your facility. Get rid of that dangerous external crank and bring and end to ripped pockets and bruised hips.
- 3” Heavy Gauge Square Steel Posts
- Posts are completely coated with thick baked-on-vinyl coating. More durable than urethanes and enamels. Vinyl resists chipping and fading.
- The Vinyl coating creates a seal with the vinyl coating on the heads to make the post-gear-system completely rain and rust proof.
- Available in green and brown. Other colors available on special order.
- Posts for platform and paddle tennis are available with all the above features.
Heads and Gear mechanism
- Completely hidden
- Internal winding gear mechanism.
- No ugly gears or fitting visible. Only two moving parts to ensure trouble free life. Gears are solid brass or stainless steel and housed in an aluminum head and are therefore 100% rust-proof, weather-proof and jam-proof!
Easily removable head: Allows convenient seasonal removal, replacement and storage of net. With gears attached to the throat of the removable head, rather than affixed to the post itself, removal is a breeze. Simply loosen the net a little, lift heads out of posts, place in center of net and roll up to store. Guaranteed to be trouble free.
Removable head allows net to be removed and replaced without having to deal with or replace frayed cable ends.
Sleeves: Numerous sleeves have been designed for many applications. The unique Adapter Post allows square post to fit any existing sleeve.

NET INSTALLATION:
FOR BEST INSTALLATION, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY.
- Stretch out the net across the court.
- See if your winder post mechanism has a hook or hole to accept the cable.
a. If it has a hook, use the cable as provided by attaching the loop to the hook.
b. If it has a hole (internal mechanism) cut off the loop at one end of the cable. Leave some excess in order to allow for several turns around the internal mechanism. Now, insert the plain cable into the hole.
- Attach the loop on the other end of the cable to the hook half way down the outside of the “dummy” post.
- Crank up cable/net to full tension. DO NOT OVERWIND.
- Insert dowels (provided) through the end side tapes.
- Attach the headband to posts with the rope provided.
- Square up the net and lace it to the post using black lacing cord provided. Most posts have lacing bars for easy installation. Use the side grommets on the net to accept the lacing cords. If the posts do not have lacing bars, hooks may be provided or you can lace around the posts.
- Measure the depth of the net in the center and adjust the strap to make the net 36” at the center line of the courts.
Your installation is now complete and your net should sit comfortable but somewhat tightly between the two posts with a very small gap between the net and posts.
